By mandy who? 4 months ago

Barack Obama will accept the Democratic nomination for President on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

i don’t care what your opinion on either man is, you have to admit that it’s a pretty amazing and fantastic milestone.

Puzzle House!

When an architect did renovations to a NYC family’s apartment, he filled it with hidden messages, puzzles, secret compartments, and codes that are built into the actual architecture. There’s even a book and a soundtrack that go along with it.

So. Cool.

On Virtuosity

By Rachel Frak-erman 10 months ago

A friend asked me this and I thought it was an interesting question:

Which virtue do you think is the most overrated?

(There’s a huge list of the supposed virtues on Wikipedia.)

FoxNews At It Again

Major Garret of Fox makes a report on Paul Begala joining the Clinton campaign. Begala emails Garret and says “uhhh…. no I’m not?” Garret continues reporting that Begala is joining the Clinton campaign, this time with “evidence.” Begala emails Garret and says “wtf? That totally didn’t happen. Honest!” Garret replies and says he has a good source and continues reporting.

How is this even legal? Full story here with complete email transcripts from Begala.

A great TED talk on how kids learn and how getting hurt is all part of the process. In case you don’t feel like watching, the five things are:

1. Play with fire 2. Own a pocket knife 3. Throw a spear 4a. Deconstruct appliances 4b. Break the DMCA (ie: crack digital media) 5. Drive a car

Discuss.
