Sweet! I was thinking of getting some blackspot boots, but I don’t like their sneakers.

surprising and cool. green does not have to mean vegan.
As far as clothes go, it probably should. 1/5 of greenhouse gases are from the meat industry.
Oh man! Simple shoes! I used to wear these in middle school, I didn’t know they were still around.
greenhouse gasses are a myth.
Seriously though, leather Eco-shoes & industrial grade meats are two different things even if the gasses aren’t. it’s just interesting to see something not made of hemp I guess.

I disagree. If the leather of your shoes isn’t coming from a cow that’s being eaten by someone, then that makes your shoes that much more completely frivolous and horrifying. I mean, I’d rather wear leather shoes harvested from something someone actually ate then to just walk around willy-nilly killing an animal for its skin and leaving the rest to rot.
i was making the assumption that of course the rest of the cow was going to be used, as well. as far as the whole meat industry thing, does the whole cow get used or do they just get rid of a lot of waste?
i only kill seals purely for their skins.
Yes, I realize every little bit counts, etc. But I really have quite a ways to go in my own personal “greening” or whatever you want to call it before my footwear even becomes a consideration. Then again I’m someone who buys 1 pair of shoes every 2-3 years, 1 pair of sneakers every 4-5 years, and wears the same boots in the winter that I’ve had for 12 years. So I think my green footwear conscience is fairly clean.

My computer at work can go to youtube but not play the videos. And I’m kind of glad right now because there’s no possible way that any video can live up to the heading of “Emotional Hippies Crying Over Dead Trees”.
Are the shoes comfortable or not? That’s what I want to know. I like my Chuck Taylor’s, but Vans are annoying to walk around in. How do these do?
I like the style, they seem work appropriate for my office.
Hippies are the biggest fucking fakers in the entire world.
Self-righteous, self-aggrandizing bunch of attention whore slut fucks.
Holy fuck, Kevin, you’re lucky you didn’t see that video. I watched it expecting to laugh, but now I’m going to go out and kill. I’ll be putting holes in as many mufflers as possible, just to hurt hippies where they feel it most: trees.
